Undergraduate Student Speaker and Student MC Auditions

Would you like to represent your graduating class and participate in your virtual commencement ceremony on June 12th as the Undergraduate Student Speaker or Student MC?

How do I audition?

The Undergraduate Student Speaker will join the Keynote, Graduate, and Faculty Speakers in congratulating and inspiring this year’s graduating class. To audition, submit a video clip no longer than five minutes and a completed version of the attached release form to the Commencement Planning Committee (GraduationOffice@evergreen.edu) for consideration no later than Monday, May 18th. Please include your name, contact information and your video included as a link or attachment. You will receive an email confirmation that we have received your video and are able to open and view it.

Speeches should incorporate the class theme. This year’s theme is:

“I want you to act as if the house was on fire, because it is.” – Greta Thunberg

The Student MC will help introduce this year’s speakers and transition between segments of the virtual ceremony. To audition, please submit a video clip of you reading the attached segment of last year’s commencement script and a completed version of the attached release form to the Commencement Planning Committee (GraduationOffice@evergreen.edu) for consideration no later than Monday, May 18th. Please include your name, contact information and your video included as a link or attachment. You will receive an email confirmation that we have received your video and are able to open and view it.

Candidates will be updated on the status of their submission by 5pm on Friday, May 22nd.
