Dear Colleagues,
Happy Week 1! If we’ve not met, my name is Correan Barker and I work in Advancement as the Associate Director of Events, Alumni and Donor Relations. On Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 1-5pm (PDT) the college will host its annual alumni weekend Return to Evergreen as a virtual event. We’re offering free admission and pre-event registration is required. Return is the college’s version of homecoming with an Evergreen twist. This alumni-centric day is designed to cultivate life-long relationships with Evergreen by connecting Greeners including alumni, students, donors and friends to celebrate the great things our graduates are doing with their Evergreen education.
Here are three ways you can get involved:
- Register and attend.
- Encourage your students to attend. This program will feature alumni and faculty tackling some of the biggest challenges of our time through a lens of racial justice and equity. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to see what’s possible with an Evergreen education and make connections with alumni who were once where they are now.
- Share the invitation with alumni and friends by forwarding the attached invitation email.
You can register and see all event activities online. If you have any questions or need assistance registering, please contact alumni@evergreen.edu.
This event is made possible by support from partners across campus. We’d like to especially thank the following colleagues for lending their time, talents and creativity to this annual celebration:
- Academic Deans Area (Karen Gaul, Emmie Forman, Ruth Brownstein)
- College Relations (Kurt Lorenz, Brian Mathis, Madison Stekly, Christine Hoffman, Farra Hayes)
- Faculty Members (Gilda Sheppard, Greg Mullins, Shangrila Joshi, and Faculty Emerita Cheryl Simrell King)
- Media Services (Ben Hargett, Dave Crampton, Vito Valera)
- And the many others who have and are contributing to make this event possible
We hope you’ll join us!
-Correan
