Dear Colleagues,
It’s hard to believe we are approaching the end of another fall. The Writing Center continues to devote its energies to supporting your student writers in all their writing endeavors through our 1:1 peer tutoring services.
Here are reminders and new information which I hope you will share and utilize as you advise students on winter quarter, wrap up evaluation conferences, finalize syllabi for Winter Quarter:
Remote Tutoring Available through Evaluation Week
Please remind your students that they can self-schedule through our online scheduling system through Thursday, December 16th at 4pm.
We will reopen again on Monday, January 3rd. Hours, instructions, and portal to our online system can be found on the HOME page of our website at: https://www.evergreen.edu/writingcenter/writing-center
Winter Quarter Writing Workshop Series
Here is a preview of our new series of workshops addressing a variety of topics we’ve observed would benefit students across the curriculum. Please feel free to add the dates and/or poster to your syllabi and Canvas pages for students to access!
Help Us Recruit Our Next Staff: Cultivating Voice Info Session
As you meet with your students during the next week, please feel free to encourage those whom you know to be supportive, engaged, curious, inquisitive writers to consider joining the Writing Center. Your recommendation will be particularly meaningful, especially to students who may not see themselves as worthy of holding this position. Let them know about our remote Information Session for the spring course Cultivating Voice on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 4:00-5:00pm PST.

My best to you all during this season of light!
