Faculty Notes | Miranda Mellis | 2022-2023
Miranda Mellis’s novel Crocosmia, a work of speculative feminist eco-fiction, was accepted for publication by Nightboat Books and is forthcoming in 2024. A book of poems, Unconsciousness Raising, is due out from above/ground press. Her chapbook, The Revolutionary, came out from Albion Books in December. The Revolutionary has been written about and recommended by Erik Davis . Her interview with experimental filmmaker Lynn Marie Kirby is forthcoming in Bomb Magazine. In July she will be part of a panel on ‘Grief in the Anthropocene’ at Reclaiming the Commons, a joint conference between the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment, and the Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences. Currently she is developing public workshops, in collaboration with Endangered Species Coalition, on bringing art and science together to foster connection with, and action to support, endangered animals.
