New Look from the Registrar’s Office
Dear Colleagues,
Next week we will be launching an upgrade to the student registration system. Hand in hand with this will be upgrades to faculty class lists and waitlists currently found under the link in my.evergreen.edu as “Faculty Class Information”.
What does this mean for me, as a faculty member?
You will still be able to see your class lists and waitlists, and email students on those lists from My Evergreen. If you are the coordinator of a program or course, you will also be able to enter overrides to allow students to register during week one (or earlier, if your offering has instructor signature required during open registration). In other words, you will be able to do all the things you can now. Only the look and feel of how you do them will change. Details on the changes and helpful support resources for navigating the new look and feel will be released with the launch.
How can I support students with the new registration changes?
We anticipate the upgrades will make it easier and more intuitive for students to navigate to and through the registration process. We recognize some students may continue to need assistance. In those cases, Registration and Academic and Career Advising staff are available to help.
What if I, or my students, have more questions after the launch?
Alongside our normal office hours, Registration will have Zoom sessions available on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Registration tech support will also offer an option to book a one-on-one appointment, for those who prefer more individual help.
We are very enthusiastic to be embarking on this upgrade. It is a big step toward improving the student experience and offers more exciting enhancements for the future. Thank you for being our partners on this path forward.
Regards,
Lori Klatt
