Recast | Update: Visual Arts and Science Operations

Dear faculty and staff colleagues –

I’m writing with an update on visual arts and science operations. As many of you know, Visual Arts Operations Manager Michelle Pope left on May 13 to pursue a new chapter in her career. In addition, Science Operations Manager Peter Robinson is currently out on extended leave.

In order to provide continued leadership for science operations, Sina Hill (hills@evergreen.edu) has agreed to step into a temporary role as Science Operations Manager until June 30. Sina has a great deal of experience – thank you for your willingness to help out!

The Arts Technicians and I are still in close discussion about short-term leadership plans. For now, questions about Visual Arts Operations can be directed to me.

My hope over the longer term is to transition to a joint Visual Arts and Sciences Operations Manager – a position which the college had for 40 of its 50 years. I will work with our staff to help redesign that position and give it the support to be successful once more.
