Recast | Leadership changes in Finance and Operations

Starting tomorrow, July 1, Dave Kohler and William Ward will share leadership of the Finance and Operations division.  Dave will become the college’s Chief Financial Officer and will oversee Business Services, the Budget Office, and Human Resource Services.  William will become the Chief of Administrative Operations and will oversee Facilities, Computing and Communications, and the Police Department.

Laura Coghlan and Dan Ralph will continue to support the division, working out of the Finance and Operations office.  This office will continue to be housed in the President’s Suite (Library 3200) but will be down the hallway from its current location.  All approvals and other work that would normally flow through the VP’s office should continue to flow through Dan and Laura, who will route it appropriately.

I am grateful to Dave and William for taking on these additional responsibilities while still leading their current departments.  This arrangement is only possible because of their capabilities and because of the talents of the whole divisional leadership team, which includes: Tony Alfonso, Associate VP for Computing and Communications; David Brunckhurst, Director of Police Services and Chief of Police; Holly Joseph, College Budget Officer; and Laurel Uznanski, Associate VP for Human Resource Services.  Each of them in turn is supported by an extraordinarily dedicated and resilient staff, devoted to the success of Evergreen and our students.  Serving this group as a VP these past three years has been a great joy.
