We will not be processing any color film until September as we are going to be doing maintenance to our Noritsu Color Film Processor this summer. We are still offering black and white film processing with slightly extending turn around times. You are welcome to drop off color film throughout the summer as normal but it will not be processed until September. Please email us at photolandstaff@evergreen.edu with any questions.
As of June 3rd, 2022, Photoland is closed for the summer. We will only be open for the programs operating in our space throughout summer quarter. We are still offering some of our remote services such as digital printing and film processing but the turn around time for these services may vary as we will not have staff in our space on a regular basis.
If you left things in a photoland locker for the summer, you will be contacted in the next few weeks to schedule time for you to come in and clean it out. If you are returning for Fall quarter 2022, you may request to keep your locker for the summer when a photoland staff member reaches out to you.
We will keep our website and instagram up to date with any changes to these services and about our reopening dates for Fall quarter 2022. Please email us at photolandstaff@evergreen.edu with any questions.
We will be offering another series of black and white film proficiencies during week 6 so if you couldn’t make the others, be sure to stop into photoland to sign up! This will likely be the last proficiency series for the quarter so sign up while you can!
These film proficiencies will still take place in two parts. The first part of the series is black and white film processing (you’ll need to bring an exposed roll of 35mm black and white film to this one!) and the second part is black and white printing. You can only be a part of the black and white printing proficiency if you have already completed the processing proficiency. There are only 6 spots available in each session and you will need to sign up in advance with Photoland staff. Dates for the series are as follows:
Black and White Processing Series 3: Friday May 6th, 2022 at 11:00am (Deadline to sign up is May 5th)
Black and White Darkroom Series 3: Friday May 13th, 2022 at 11:00am (must have attended developing series 3)
If you have any questions regarding the proficiencies or about using the space, please email us at photolandstaff@evergreen.edu or call us during open hours at (360)867-6274.
