Evergreen Multimedia Arts Internship Program (F,W,S)

The Evergreen Multimedia Arts Internship is often simply called the “Media Internship”. It is an in-program internship. This upcoming academic year 2024-25, there will be openings in audio, music technology, video, production and photo. This internship requires a year-long commitment from Fall through Spring quarters. To be selected, you will need to apply, interview and be accepted into the program. See dates below for application deadlines.

How to Apply

Eligibility 

  • Students must have junior or senior standing (at least 90 credits) at the time of application.
  • Students must have successfully completed at least one quarter of an 8 or 16-credit program in areas outside of media.
  • Students must have a minimum of one year of college-level coursework in media production, photography or equivalent work experience. The successful completion of Evergreen curriculum such as media intensive, student originated studies, photography or audio courses would count towards these requirements.
  • Eligible transfer students are welcome to apply and will need to outline equivalent prerequisites in their application.

Application

Interested applicants should submit the following materials: 

  • A letter of interest
  • A current resume
  • An evaluation of relevant academic work including:
    • A faculty evaluation of your work from your most recent interdisciplinary program.
    • A faculty evaluation of your work from your most recent program/course that focused on media production skills. If any of the courses were multi-quarter sequences,  provide evaluations from all quarters of the sequence.*

*If both categories of faculty evaluations overlap, you are welcome to submit a single evaluation.

 

Registration: We highly encourage all EMAIP applicants to register to at least one other program of their choice in case their candidature is not retained for the internship program.   

Financial Aid: being the recipient of any scholarship may affect your financial aid package. We highly encourage you to contact Colby Morelli (morellic@evergreen.edu) in the Financial Aid office as soon as you are able to find out how this scholarship will affect your financial package and cost of attendance.
