About the Series:
“SpeakOut: From the Heart” is a powerful and urgent new series that immerses you in the personal and inspirational stories of our renowned speakers, revealing the beating heart behind their social justice work. In these intimate conversations, speakers share their journeys, their battles, and their unwavering dedication to creating a more just and compassionate world.
The November 15 guest is Linda Sarsour, a world renowned Brooklyn-born Palestinian Muslim American activist, author and community organizer. Linda is celebrated for her intersectional work on critical civil rights issues, including the impact of domestic policies on Arab and Muslim-American communities, mass incarceration, Middle East affairs, immigration policy, and voter registration. We will watch a one hour moderated conversation with Linda and host a brief discussion afterwards that will look into how Linda’s experience and knowledge can help others become successful activists.
