LTC Salon | May 22 | Supporting Trans and Nonbinary Students

Julie Russo is the 2023-2024 Learning and Teaching Commons Faculty Scholar. Her salon series provides an informal space for faculty discussion of teaching practices and challenges. See her complete bio on our website.

Dear colleagues,
Did you know that over 50% of Evergreen students identify as LGBTQ+? For this week’s Salon, I wanted to offer information and conversation about how we can support the needs and wellbeing of our trans and nonbinary community members. I will be joined as host by generous BLISS (BIPOC & LGBTQ+ Intersectional Support Services) staff:
Michael Rupp Talamantez, Director
Golden Sather, Trans & Queer Initiatives Coordinator
Golden started their position at Evergreen last week – this is a perfect opportunity to meet and welcome them!
Michael and Golden will be at the LTC 1-2pm; they may leave after that to attend to other responsibilities if there’s not an active discussion going.
