Recast | PSA: System maintenance windows this weekend, January 16th and 17th

Greetings!

This is to advise you that we have two maintenance windows scheduled this weekend. During the first, the Olympia and Tacoma campuses may experience intermittent to complete internet service outages. This will occur on Saturday, January 16th, from 10 PM to 5 AM as the K-20 Network completes repairs related to yesterday’s unplanned outage. This will impact internet connectivity to Evergreen systems from off-campus and to external systems from on-campus. Evergreen systems will continue to be operational and available on-campus. Many services (like email, Canvas, OneDrive, Teams) are still available from off-campus. Remote workstation access and My.Evergreen will not.  Campus telephone services are not affected.

On Sunday, January 17th from 8am to noon, Computing and Communications will be performing maintenance on Banner, our core administrative system. Due to the type of update being performed on the databases, you will not be able to connect to Banner or the other administrative systems like my.evergreen, adminweb, Schedule Evergreen, Time and Leave, CMD, etc. during the outage. Other systems that depend on Banner may also be unavailable during this time.

We hope to have all systems operating normally by noon on Sunday.
