Dear Faculty Colleagues,

I am writing to share briefly some important dates and other information with you.

• The online Academic Retreat will begin Thursday, September 17 with morning and afternoon sessions and continue Monday, September 21 and Wednesday, September 23, with afternoon sessions only the last two days. More details, including exact times, to follow as planning continues.
• I’d like to call your attention to part of President Bridges’ email from last week regarding input on the strategic plan (draft attached to this message). Note that the deadline for input is quite soon!

I welcome your input on the draft to president@evergreen.edu by September 1. Your input will be reviewed carefully by the senior leadership team as we make final revisions prior to the September 14 submission. We also welcome your suggestions about future phases of this work as we seek to realize our future vision in the months ahead.

• Karras Consulting, the executive search firm the Board has engaged for the presidential search, has engaged Dr. Mary K. Grant to deepen the higher education expertise available to them in the search process. A brief biography of Dr. Grant is attached.

I hope your summer has been good to you, and look forward to our work together in what looks like a busy and eventful academic year to come!
