Commons Advisory Council

The Learning and Teaching Commons Advisory Council (LTCAC) members advise and support the Learning and Teaching Commons – Evergreen’s teaching and learning center.  The Learning and Teaching Commons Advisory Council, composed of Evergreen faculty and staff, helps to develop strategies for supporting and strengthening learning and teaching at Evergreen. The Council convenes 2-3 times each quarter, during Evergreen’s governance hours.

The Council is charged with the following responsibilities.

• Develop a call for proposals for the Summer Institute
• Review summer institute proposals and provide feedback on specific summer institutes, and overall recommendations for the suite of institutes
• Support a proposal development workshop for those who are submitting proposals
• Support a convener workshop for those whose proposals are accepted

2023-2024

Due to faculty governance constraints, the focus of the Council in 2023-2024 is solely on planning for Evergreen Summer Institutes. Meetings for the Summer Institute Planning (SIP) Group are held virtually as needed.
