A Sustainable Entrepreneur

Mary shares her experience pairing advocacy with a small business and how to be a “sustainable” entrepreneur in the creative economy as an Indigenous woman. Learn how can communities support small BIPOC businesses while honoring boundaries and why doing both is important for thriving in two worlds.

 

About the Speaker

Mary is an Indigenous Entrepreneur and the founder and Chair of the Indigenous Roots and Reparations Foundation. She was born and raised in the Wenatchee Valley and is an enrolled member of the Colville Confederated Tribe; Wenatchi, Moses and Entiat bands & a descendant of the Blackfoot Tribe. Mary owns two small businesses with her husband. Mary worked in law and medicine before finding her joy through her culture, art, and entrepreneurship.
