Racial Justice is front and center as we approach the 2020 General Election. The New Jim Crow, known as Mass-Incarceration, is the latest system of social control aimed primarily at Black and Brown Communities. Today more than 2.3 million people are incarcerated in Jails, Prisons, and Detention Centers in the United States of America. While crime rates decrease prison populations hold steady due draconian sentencing practices and recidivism. Higher Education is a proven tool that can be leveraged to fight the cycle of recidivism and generational incarceration.
