Dear CIEL members and friends,

This spring two college consortia are joining forces for their annual retreats.  The Consortia for Innovative Environments in Learning and the Ecoleague are holding a free virtual conference April 16th and 17th, 2021.  The theme of this year’s event is Teaching and Learning in Equitable Environments.  Our Keynote speaker is Gilda Sheppard, educator and filmmaker from Evergreen State.  The conference agenda is here and will be a living document that reflects updates and connectivity information.  Please let us know that you are interested in attending by RSVP’ing here.

With the virtual format, we would like to open our doors to more folks than usually travel to our in-person retreats.  Friday, April 16th is geared to consortia community members (faculty, students, staff, and CAO’s) as well as our colleagues and friends outside the member colleges.  Saturday is geared toward faculty and administrators of the member colleges.  Most sessions will be panel conversations with the opportunity for interactive attendee participation and questions.  Please forward this email to your networks of colleagues and students interested in conversations about progressive teaching toward equitable outcomes.  Please encourage all to let us know of their interest with the RSVP.
