What is Moulage?
Disaster simulated special effects makeup applied to persons role playing in various emergency response drills, for example; CERT Finals, Active Shooter Scenarios, and Mass Casualty Incidences.
As a Moulage Mayhem Volunteer Artist, we provide Moulage for FEMA, DHS, Citizen Corps/CERT, Hospitals, Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, EMS, Airports and any group needing a Disaster Simulated wounded Role Players.
The instructors are from Moulage Mayhem, a non-profit Volunteer organization that is a vital partner to CERT and dedicated to excellence in support of first responders exercises.
Moulage is the art of creating lifelike wounds and injuries using makeup and special effects techniques, it is a vital skill in medical training and disaster preparedness. Mastering moulage equips you to handle a range of scenarios, from minor abrasions to complex trauma enhancing the realism of medical simulations and boosting participant engagement.
Highlights of the training include:
– Hands-on instruction led by experienced moulage artists Lead Laurell Sprague of the Snohomish Fire Service and assistants
– Instruction on the secrets behind creating realistic wounds, bruises, burns, and more
– Insight into the world of medical simulation and disaster preparedness
This class is open to everyone in the Evergreen community and is highly recommended for anyone who has or will be attending Evergreen’s C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Training) courses.
Please only sign up for this class if you seriously intend to be there, as the supplies for this class are ordered according to the sign-up sheet, and the number of instructors is based on anticipated attendance.
