Faculty Note | Miranda Mellis | 2025-2026

In spring 2026 Miranda Mellis was a panelist at the AWP Conference in Baltimore and was the ESRR Distinguished Visiting Writer at the University of Utah. She gave a reading and taught a workshop at the Ecopoetics Symposium at Naropa University’s MFA program. Recently she was a visiting writer at classes and reading series’ at University of California at San Diego; University of Virginia; Bard College Berlin; and the California College of the Arts where her new novel, Crocosmia (Nightboat Books, 2025), was taught. She has been interviewed about Crocosmia at the podcasts Future Ecologies and Reading Around the Margins, as well as for Tricycle Magazine and Bomb Magazine.
