Dear Colleagues,
I am happy to announce that 2021 commencement plans are well underway! To participate in this year’s ceremony, students should apply to graduate by April 1st. Below, I have included the email sent yesterday to all graduate and undergraduate students who may be eligible to graduate this year. Please share this information with potential graduates in your areas as you are able.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Thank you all for helping our graduates as they near the achievement of their academic goals!
All the best,
Lori

Hi [name],
My name is Lori Klatt and I am the Registrar at Evergreen. I am writing so I can be among the first to congratulate you on getting close to completing your degree requirements. What an accomplishment!
You may be thinking about graduating this year. If that is in your plans, you can let us know by applying to graduate.
If you are interested in participating in this year’s virtual commencement, please complete your graduation application no later than Thursday, April 1st. Graduates who apply by this date will receive a memorabilia box from Evergreen which includes a cap, tassel, printed program, diploma cover, and other goodies. Your diploma will arrive in the mail separately, after all your credits are officially posted to your record.
You should apply now even if you aren’t sure you want to participate in this year’s commencement. That way you’ll be all set if your friends, family or loved ones suddenly let you know how much they were looking forward to seeing your name in the program or ceremony.
If you do not get your application in by April 1, 2021, you can still apply to graduate and receive your diploma by mail once your credits are finalized, but your options to participate in this year’s ceremony will be limited.
For the most up-to-date information regarding this year’s virtual ceremony, please visit the Graduation webpage.
If you have any questions, please contact us at registration@evergreen.edu.
Again, congratulations on nearing the finish line. We look forward to celebrating with you at commencement!
