Photoland offers C-41 film processing. Follow the steps below to place a processing order. Please note that our service is for processing only and does not include film scans or prints. Our Digital Imaging Studio is equipped with scanners for you to do your own film scanning (lab access fee applies for community member patrons) and our staff is happy to help so you how to get you started.
Note: We no longer accept black and white film processing orders but our facilities can be used for patrons to process their own film. Check out the Photoland Proficiency Trainings page to learn more about gaining access to our analog photography facilities.
Steps for placing a film processing order:
- Fill out the Color Film Processing Request form which can be found and downloaded below or you can stop into Photoland to fill one out when you drop off your film.
- Drop off your film and form to Photoland anytime during our open hours.
- We request payment when you place your order and accept card payments in person when you drop off your film and form. Cash and checks are not accepted.
- Our staff will notify you by email or phone when your film is ready for pick up. Turn around time is 10-14 business days.
- Pick up your negatives from Photoland during our open hours. You may use the Digital Imaging Studio to scan your negatives, if you would like. For patrons who are not Evergreen affiliated (community member patrons), lab access fees will apply for day use of the facilities for scanning ($30 per day).
*While uncommon, technical difficulties in film processing and handling do occur. By submitting your film for processing at Photoland, you accept the risk of damage to your film. We will do everything in our power to avoid accidents. If one does occur, we will work with you to provide a refund and/or replacement film (unexposed) depending on the nature of the incident. Neither Photoland nor The Evergreen State College will be held liable for damage to film due to processing error.*
NOTE: Photoland is an entity of The Evergreen State College which is a state agency. Due to this, we are bound by state regulations including to those pertaining to the use of state resources. For this reason, Photoland resources and services cannot be used for profit-generating activities. By signing the film processing request form, you indicate your agreement to this policy.
