Many students focused on biodiversity studies at Evergreen complete internships with various non-profit organizations and public agencies. The following is a sample of the many possibilities which might incorporate biodiversity monitoring, ecological restoration, environmental education, and/or natural history museum curation and interpretation. Ecostudies Institute – prairie conservation and restoration
Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge – estuary restoration and monitoring
Nisqually Reach – environmental education
Mount Rainier National Park – subalpine meadow conservation and restoration
U.S. Forest Service – air pollution monitoring using indicator lichen species
U.S. Department of Defense – prairie plant and wildlife monitoring at Joint Base Lewis McChord
Washington Department of Transportation – wetland restoration and monitoring
