Faculty Note | Catalina Ocampo and Alice Nelson | 2025-2026

On May 5, 2026, Colectiva Cocuya (Faculty Members Catalina Ocampo Londoño and Alice Nelson, along with community members Patricia Mazuela and Marcela Soto) was honored with the Lula Fest Cultural Impact award for projects centering Latinx community. This award recognized the winter 2026 exhibit, “Chicanx & Latinx Posters: Art, Identity, and Resistance in the PNW and Beyond,” a selection of artworks from the Evergreen State College Chicano/Latino Archive. The project involved students in the Migrant Archive program, opening and closing events, and was displayed during winter quarter at the Evergreen gallery.
