This interactive session with the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) of Thurston County will provide information and skills for building networks to protect the constitutional rights and civil liberties of yourself and others in the face of attacks on immigrants in the community. SPSCC invites the community to its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Event to honor Dr. King’s legacy and reflect on the ongoing work of equity and justice in our community. Marc Bamuthi Joseph, one of the nation’s most vital voices at the intersection of arts and social justice, will deliver a keynote titled “Socially Responsive and Responsible Community-Building.” Admission to the event is free, and no tickets are required. |

This interactive session introduces Solarpunk and Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs) as powerful tools for creativity, climate action, and personal empowerment. |

Jay W Stansell is a lawyer and educator who has been practicing law in the US since 1988, most recently for 19 years as an Assistant Federal Public Defender, and previously as a Staff Attorney for Northwest Immigrant Rights Project. |
