Olympia Police

Before the Break: There are 78 sworn officers and 35 civilian volunteers currently working within the olympia police department at least according to their funding charts. that equals 1 for every about 500 residents of Olympia this is not nearly enough to deal with the catastrophe that Olympia will be facing. In addition police will prioritize setting up control and outreach centers. Because of their prioritizing of control quickly things will get out of hand once the weight of the situation is actually setting in. Not only these things but the press and the Olympia Police Department have not been agreeing lately painting the officers in a bad and untrustworthy light. Also they are still cops. In addition most of them would go to protect governmental officials.

Since Then: Most of the Cops are dead. After the people went to the capital and began freaking out. Cops in riot gear didn’t help like it was thought they would. The people began to fight back causing the death of most of the police force. There are 4 other groups of Cops who remain now after the events of the first day. The first group is mainly the call team comprising of 4 individuals (Go ahead make NPCs) and those who stayed in the station. Once they had heard the death of the other police officers over the radio they closed up the police station in an attempt to not allow untrained civilians access to the armory and firearms. They have been there since the first day and depending on how late into the ARG people access Olympia may be patrolling the streets in search for more food supplies or entertainment. Most of their systems are electrical and they will help in the event of electrical shutdown. The second group of officers are those first responders comprising of 6 individuals who had made their way to the governmental bunker in an attempt to be with and protect government officials. As a result they have gone to the bunker with them. Always having one on guard at least inside of the bunker. These other people explore looking for food or any way to setup a shelter that actually has food. They will believe themselves the reigning power of the area even if they no longer have jurisdiction. They are most likely an antagonistic force. The third group is the 7 officers split up between St. Peters and the Multicare Medical Center. How it is split varies but these officers were on shift at the hospital when everything went to hell. As such have remained there and their job is to protect both doctors and nurses. They are most likely a helping force working within the hospitals. The 4th and final group is a handful of officers (3-5) who have gone into the fog. They were responding to calls and other messages when the fog rolled in. They are out of gas and just keep wandering. Because they technically had no entry point into the fog. It has no clue what to do with them and sort of just keeps the officers in the fog. They are unaware as to what has gone wrong just that something has.
