Before the Break:
Thurston county Olympia encourages urban agriculture as opposed to livestock (of any kind) being run at large.
- “There is hereby established a single countywide stock restricted area district which encompasses the entire area of Thurston County…” (title 9 section 9.04.010 – Description)
- “Urban agriculture includes the cultivation, processing, and distribution of agricultural products (food or non-food) in urban and suburban areas. Urban farming can provide environmental, economic, and social benefits to the surrounding communities.” (USDA website)
- Chickens, ducks, rabbits, bees and mini goats (only with the permitted min amount of acres)
- “Large livestock restricted on lots less than two acres in size.” (MRSC website)
- Evergreen state college has a collection of laying hens and broiler hens (evergreen college website)
Since Then:
Slowly over time, weird mutations have been noticed in some of the livestock kept. Possible mutations could be (depending on how game goes):
- Poultry animals (chicken and ducks) suddenly growing larger, becoming massive / turning into theropods
- We are suddenly able to communicate with chickens, and come to an agreement to trade their eggs for protection
- Bee swarms in the shape of monsters
