The Ceramic Studio at Evergreen offers students the opportunity to explore a vast array of ceramic techniques. The studio is equipped with twenty three potters wheels, four electric kilns, a natural gas downdraft kiln, and a large room for hand-building and sculpture. The kiln room sports a glaze kitchen where we mix glazes in-house, and a pug mill for recycling and mixing clay. Students have access to the studio throughout the quarter during open studio hours.

While students practice their craft they get a view through picture windows into the school’s expansive wooded campus. The ceramic studio hosts interdisciplinary daytime programs and focused evening art classes.

The ceramic studio is managed by Joelle Montez.
