As noted in our Community Responsibilities document, we expect students to:
- Engage in self-care. If you become ill, stay home and recover quickly rather than extending your illness by over-exertion. While protecting your privacy, let the faculty know by e-mail as soon as possible when you miss class because of illness.
It’s important that you take good care of yourself. It’s important for you, and it’s important to the rest of us.
- If you miss a subject lecture or Math Lab, get notes from classmates, work with your study group, CSS group, or tutors to get caught up, and consult with faculty to get caught up as needed.
- Make sure you get notes from Thursday’s All-Program Check-In, as many announcements are made during that time.
- If you miss a Wednesday Seminar, please do submit any writing assignments that are due.
- If you miss a Monday Quiz session, you may download a blank copy of the Quiz (those become available at 11am that morning) and take it on your own. We recommend that as much as possible you start by taking it under “quiz-like” conditions (i.e., timed, individually, using just your notecard and other allowed materials), but then treat it as a Revision and submit a Quiz Revision the following Monday. You can have your PSNs checked at a later time. You may submit any Quiz Revisions you would have submitted at the missed class the first day you are back.
