The Preparation for Winter Quarter post links to several good video lecture resources. Some particular ones of interest:
-
- EM: The creator of these video lectures that are based directly on Griffiths’ Introduction to Electrodynamics uses the 2nd edition compared to our current 4th edition, but that is generally not an issue. There are at least 200 videos that cover up to chapter 9; I have barely viewed a fraction of them. Hopefully these videos, which basically present and expand directly on the information in the text, can serve to supplement your engagement with the text. Organized quite well, so you can simply scroll down the playlist to find any section you’d like to see presented.
- QM: For Townsend Chapter 4, these are particularly relevant:
- From “DrPhysicsA”, Quantum Mechanics Concepts 6: Energy Operators, the Hamiltonian, Schrödinger, and Time Dependence.
- From Dr. Steve Spickelmire, Lesson 25: Formalism II More Quantum Formalism (starting at time stamp 11:15 is most relevant but the earlier part is also good review) and Lesson 26: Formalism III Time Evolution + More Change in Basis
