Hello-
PS: I fixed the broken link. Not sure what had gone wrong – anyway, homework PDF is now available.
I have posted the Circuits homework here.
The Reading is here (lab manual) and here (text pages).
The midterm solutions are here.
I can also report now that the 3rd edition of Horowitz & Hill’s The Art of Electronics is magnificent. If you like the readings in the 2nd edition, then I recommend getting the 3rd. It does appear that there will be a separate (much expanded) Lab Manual for this new edition, with more introductory material added to it, so it might be worth waiting for that if you find the text a bit too challenging. Supposedly due out later this year. If you really like circuits, though, the 3rd edition is likely going to have a very long shelf-life (the 2nd was still going strong after 25 years).

We watched some videos of wave behavior as part of Lab 33, and many of you commented favorably on how the videos helped make concrete and illustrate some aspects of wave behavior. The video Similarities of Wave Behavior https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DovunOxlY1k will strike some of you as similar to Frames of Reference in style. Some of the analogies to electrical engineering topics might not be that helpful, but there’s a huge amount here that should supplement the week 26 reading of Mazur Ch. 16.
A preliminary Week 26 Calendar page has been posted.
If you’re going to the Physics Conference, please let us know via the Class Forums. There’s a topic titled Physics Conference Registration, started by stapyx26 (say that out loud and listen for the rhyme!); recall that you have to Log in directly to access the Forums.
Solutions to the Week 24 Physics Problem Set are available.
Hello.
The (full) Week 4 solutions are posted.
Midterm is 10am – 1pm Thursday; Tuesday will be review. Note – no calculators or notes (or books) for the Circuits midterm. As promised, I have posted a midterm-review guide.
Best-
Neil
