Rita Sevcik served as Administrative Assistant to the first six Evergreen presidents. Dan Evans, the college’s second president, discusses Rita’s importance to the college and to the President’s office. He expresses appreciation and admiration for her as a person, talking about her great memory and even temper and their shared love of the outdoors and the deer on the back meadow. The interview takes place in Senator Evans’s office in Olympia, WA.
