Welcome to Winter Quarter from BLISS! We are back at it, and we’re excited to share a few upcoming events with you. If you are a staff or faculty and know any students who might be interested in any of these events, please pass it along!

Wednesday January 15: In Transition 

Gather with other students exploring their gender for discussion, crafts, and camaraderie. The next meeting of this new group called In Transition will provide a forum for trans, gender-diverse, gender-exploring and questioning students to build connections and explore thoughts and feelings on gender both verbally and through creative outlets. Feel free to bring a project, take part in provided crafts, or just come to meet new folks. This meeting is low-stakes and welcoming. 

We will be hosting In Transition from 4:30-5:30 every other Wednesday through Winter Quarter:

Week 2: January 15

Week 4: January 29

Week 6: February 12

Week 8: February 26

Week 10: March 12

Racial and Ethnic Affinity Group Interest Meetings

BLISS and Student Activities are excited to announce the return of racial and ethnic identity-based affinity groups at Evergreen. The active group at this time is La Familia, which aims to uplift and center Latine voices and latinx issues through student solidarity.  

We will be hosting interest meetings for 2 additional groups during Week 2:

 

Black Student Union (BSU)

Where are all the Black people at?

BSU’s purpose is to provide voice and community to members of the student body who identify as Black. 

When: Wednesday January 15 from 12-1:30 p.m.

Where: Flaming Eggplant (CAB 305)

 

Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Association 

Create a supportive network for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander students to find community, exchange culture, and educate the campus on relevant issues.

When: Friday, January 17 from 1-2 p.m.

Where: SEAL (CAB 310)
