About the Parks Department
Pierce County Parks manages over 5,000 acres of open space, trails, developed and undeveloped parks.  We provide recreational programs and community gathering spaces. The department consists of three divisions:  Parks and Recreation, Administrative Services and Resource Stewardship. Position Summary

Our Summer Gate Attendants will perform cashier work at North Lake Tapps Park and Spanaway Lake Park.

Hours: 15-35 hours/week, 18 weeks
Dates of Work: May – September
Note: These are seasonal positions not eligible for County benefits.

  • Process payments for parking and boat launch activities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours. Operations are 7 days a week from early morning to park closure.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age
  • Ability to work flexible hours

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Knowledge of cash balancing and credit card processing
