2018 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships at Evergreen

From the website http://www.evergreen.edu/surf/  “Evergreen’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships offer undergraduates the opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors on research projects.”

Summer 2018 Proposed Projects are listed at the SURF website,where you can also find detailed descriptions and application requirements. At quick glance of the proposed projects, many would be of interest to students interested in the computational, mathematical, and physical sciences (CMaPS).

Applications are due Monday March 5 2018.

Week 4 Reading

  • I’ve updated the Week 4 Reading assignment to make it more clear that Appendix B.3 and B.4 are optional (but recommended if you have time).
  • I added the first part of section 2.6: Entropy (pp. 74 – 77) to this week’s reading.
  • This is a tough reading. Please don’t panic! We’ll make sense of it together.
