Knowledge of ACES (adverse childhood experiences) needs to be a part of all teacher training and community workshops. Also needs to be designed so that children can understand what is going on and how we can take part in the healing process.

What a wonderful presentation! I especially enjoyed the research done into a diet specifically made to help improve the gut microbiome of those who have gone through ACEs, I’ve always known that the gut microbiome and diet have an effect on mental health but I never considered there being a diet made specifically to improve mental health.

Thank you to you all! That was a lot of wonderful information. I appreciated that you presented it in a way that clearly identified the issue and provided solutions. As someone who worked with children prior to coming back to school, it better informed me how I could learn more to serve the kids I work with if I choose to go back into that field. Amazing work!

Thank you for all this great information! This is vital learning for those who work with children. Also, I had no idea that ACEs could impact the microbiome in that way! Great job.
