About Lauren: “Penaho ne naniha Lauren Nabahe Kwinawetün nümü Diné Mono ne noompai nyet et san dyne snunyka. Hello, my name is Lauren Nabahe. I am Paiute-Shoshone, Navajo and Mono. I come from my ancestral lands of Owens Valley in Lone Pine California. I am honored to work as the Eastside Native American Education Program Manager serving Bellevue, Northshore and Lake Washington School District. I have been Pow-Wow dancing for over 12 years and was also a part of a professional dance group called Living Legends, for two years. As part of that dance group I was able to tour the world sharing traditional Native dances, including Women’s Jingle and Fancy. Though Jingle dress is my chosen style, I am blessed to also know Fancy Shawl and Traditional. It is my greatest joy to share the knowledge that I may have with others, especially when supporting individuals in their journey as Pow-Wow dancers. I am honored for this opportunity, aeshuN thank you!”
About Jobey: Jobey is proud Tulalip tribal member with Yakama Nation roots. He is a dedicated Powwow MC, singer, and Grass Dancer from Toppenish, Washington. Jobey looks forward to sharing his cultural knowledge in a good way with the community!
