We are excited to share that we will be celebrating National Library Week with Youth Librarian and author Stacy Wells (Choctaw). This session will explore how librarians and authors can do more to encourage reading in children and students. Librarians and authors shape who see themselves in story, in their communities, and in the wider world. Stacy will share how authentic Native stories are central to that work, why book awards matter for Native authors, and how getting those books into the hands of children builds identity and belonging for Native readers and opens doors of understanding for every reader they reach.
Please join us for a wonderful time with Stacy Wells:
We look forward to connecting soon!
