Media Loan (ML) lends audio, video, photography and presentation equipment to students who are using it for academic work. Media Loan also assists with lab scheduling and key circulation.

Job duties for ML student workers include:

• Circulating equipment and keys
• Lab Scheduling
• Providing Equipment Instruction
• Minor Equipment Repairs
• Warehouse Organization

Previous experience working with or studying media is helpful. Media Loan provides training for all employees in weekly training sessions. This position is for the fall, winter and spring quarters of the 25-26 school year.

All ML student employees are required to be able to regularly attend a weekly meeting and training:

• ML Student Training: 2-3 pm on Wednesdays
• ML Student Meeting: 3-4pm on Wednesdays

Hours and Pay

• ML student employees work between 10 – 19 hours per week.
• Pay starts at $17.49/hour.
• Work study is welcome but not required.

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Customer service.
• Communicating with people across significant differences.
• Experience with media production equipment (audio, video, projection, lighting).
• Teaching or training.
• Willingness to learn new media skills and build upon existing ones.
• Organization and attention to detail.
• Problem-solving.
• Time management.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• For on-campus work, reliable transportation to campus.
