With the goal to increase wildlife habitat stewardship through outreach, support, field experiences, and facilitating hands-on Habitat Stewards volunteer trainings to connect all people with NWF resources and local volunteering and educational opportunities. This Habitat Stewards Programs Coordinator position is best suited for someone who is enthusiastic (no need to be an expert) about the Washington environment, habitat restoration, and volunteer stewardship – and can use that energy to connect people with our programs, trainings, and resources and support volunteers. They’ll have the ability to thrive independently in a multiple task environment, can relate easily and openly with people, strong organizational and communication skills, relevant work or volunteer experience in conservation, outreach, trainings, or volunteer coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Environmental Science, Sustainability, other related science or non-profit, education fields of study. Experience working with the public, children preferred. Zoom skills a plus. Must be able to reside in the greater Seattle area (some remote work is acceptable) for the duration of the Americorps term.
