Under the supervision of the Wildfire Mitigation Program Specialist, the Wildfire Resilience Coordinator will lead and manage complex projects/programs, falling within one or more of the following program areas:
- Community Wildfire Protection Planning
- Community and individual parcel wildfire risk evaluation (Home Ignition Zone concepts)
- Firewise USA®
- Wildfire risk reduction training coordination, administration, and oversight
- Outreach and engagement programs
- Collaborative and Partnership development
The Wildfire Resilience Coordinator may perform some, or all, of the following: project budget management, program development and delivery, collaborative facilitation, training administration and delivery, grant and agreement development and implementation. The Wildfire Resilience Coordinator supports program delivery through collaboration with Forestry Services staff and will serve as the primary contact point for wildfire risk reduction programs for CSFS staff within their assigned area, under the supervision of the Wildfire Mitigation Program Specialist.
The Wildfire Resilience Coordinator will deliver broad wildfire risk reduction program services in coordination with Area work teams, develop and manage program and project budgets, provide input to Area strategic work plans, assess and translate emerging issues, and cultivate opportunities. The Wildfire Resilience Coordinator must have a thorough knowledge of: the tenets of the National Cohesive Wildland Fire Management Strategy, inter-reliance of CSFS divisions and service delivery at the Area and Agency levels, Community Wildfire Protection Planning, wildfire risk reduction principles, emergency management concepts, local collaboratives and partnerships, contract development and administration, and will be a local Subject Matter Expert on their assigned complex projects/programs.
