United Way of Cache Valley in Logan, Utah has a great full time, one year commitment, job opening through the AmeriCorps Vista program. UWCV is looking for someone with the right A,B,C’s. (Attitude, Behaviors, and Character) UWCV A,B,C’s competencies are organized, forward-thinking, growth mindset, optimistic, action oriented and someone who is excited to help build the capacity of an impactful organization in Cache Valley Utah.

This individual should not be consumed with making money because this full time, 1 year position pays very little. The intangible benefits outweigh the tangible benefits of this position.

The AmeriCorps VISTA Member serving with UWCV will ensure sustainability and build capacity of the organization by Grant Writing, Fundraising Support, Creating training programs around outreach and marketing, and helping support the 211 Utah Outreach efforts.

The mission of the UWCV is; “we are committed to unite the Caring Power of Cache Valley to better lives.”

VISTA positions are full-time for one year, as mandated by the Corporation for National and Community service. Successful completion of a one-year service term qualifies all VISTA members for either an education award or a cash stipend. The pay, is a living stipend, is $1,250 per month.

Anticipated start date is mid September or mid October 2021, pending successful candidate placement in this position.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications: 18 years of age at the time of placement U.S. citizen Full-time commitment (40 hours/week) and one-year term of employment. Experience working with diverse groups/teams of people (volunteer- or job-related) Experience grant writing and fund raising Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) Community outreach, resource generation experience Independent worker yet collaborative team member.

ADA-Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
