This position is located within the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC), Resource Assessment and Conservation Engineering (RACE) Division with one vacancy in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Fish & Wildlife Administrator, you will perform the following duties:
•Administer scientific research throughout Alaska on commercially marketable species and all aspects of marine ecosystems.
•Plan and conduct annual large-scale fisheries stock assessment and ecosystem surveys.
•Oversee the development of annual activity and staffing plans as well as the planning and executing of a multi-million-dollar annual budget.
•Represent Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC) & National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries on a variety of high profile and sometimes controversial issues, including survey results and stock assessments, to high level management bodies and senior executives.
•Evaluate work performance and develops performance standards; provide advice, counsel, and instruction on both work and administrative matters; organize and assigns work.

Occasional travel – Up to 20% of domestic and foreign travel may be required.
