Responsibilities:
This is a senior level IT management position (Assistant Division Manager – Deputy CIO) that provides innovative and strategic IT leadership and direction to the agency as it relates to the Operations Unit. Responsibilities include developing policy and associated governance structures and effectiveness measures for three key functional areas in the Division: IT Operations, Infrastructure Operations, and Customer Service Operations. This position is expected to coordinate technology strategy in concert with agency business objectives and priorities. Additionally, this position ensures all technology purchases align with state and agency hardware and software standards and direction. - Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of progressive IT management experience, including two years of experience directly supervising IT personnel in the area of technical infrastructure and its supporting systems.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of multiple IT disciplines such as: data management, IT security principles, local and wide area networks, data storage, and application architecture principles.
- Knowledge of management principles with an emphasis on team building and effectiveness.
- Knowledge of leadership/management techniques and principles in the areas of strategic and operational planning, budget preparation and implementation, personnel administration, and project management.
- Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery.
Our ideal candidate will also have the qualifications listed below:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Experience with LEAN management principles.
- Project management certification.
- Public sector information technology management experience.
- Public sector contracting experience.
