The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Wildland Fire Management Division is looking for someone to fill our Office Support Supervisor 2 position. If you are someone who has a positive attitude, can be a team player, and has good communication and organizational skills, this is the position for you! The ideal candidate for this position should be capable of providing coordinated support, arranging staff travel, and developing office processes and procedures.

 

Duties

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise support staff.
  • Maintain office supplies, and equipment.
  • Answer multi-line phone, email, and fire reporting line
  • Travel arrangements
  • Review/verify reimbursement documents.
  • Procurement of supplies
  • Credit card reconciliation
  • Provide backup and administrative support to AA4

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Three years of clerical or office administration experience with general understanding of office practices.
  • Advanced Computer and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Leadership or Supervisory Experience.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Strong Business Math Skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and supporting an environment that honors diversity, equity and inclusion and environmental justice practices.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and public records retention and requests are followed.

Special Requirements and Conditions of Employment:
  • The work is performed in an office setting.
  • Occasional travel will be required to region offices, workshops, or training.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in multi-tasking, managing short deadlines, and working independently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish priorities, track projects, establish deadlines, and hold staff accountable for assigned work.
  • Experience with HR, fiscal, or IT policies and procedures.
