Do you like a fast paced rewarding work environment, if so this job is for you!  Our Seasonal Office Assistant 2 position provides a variety of administrative/clerical functions. This position will challenge you with fast-paced, high-intensity situations that will require you to utilize your multi-tasking aptitude.  This position will also utilize your excellent verbal and written skills to communicate and network with agency staff from all regions, divisions, and management.

Some of the responsibilities of the Office Assistant 2 include, but are not limited to the: answering the Washington State DNR Fire Reporting line, travel coordination, clerical projects and general administrative support.

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience operating a multi-function copier and other standard office equipment.
  • Experience using multiline phone.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks while evaluating competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Experience collaborating with team members to deliver measured results.

Conditions of Employment: 

  • Office setting, first point of contact with customers, other government employees and stakeholders. Both in person and through the telephone system.
  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 12:00 pm-7:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-7:00pm, and Sunday 8:30am-7:00pm. Hours include ½ hour lunch, July 4th and Labor Day. Extra hours may be required.
