The Capital and Asset Management Program (CAMP) mission is to serve the Department by delivering technical and professional engineering, construction, and maintenance to sustain facilities, infrastructure and ecosystems under the Department’s care.  

 

The Cultural Resources Division (CRD) was established to support and direct the agency’s cultural resource stewardship initiatives. The CRD staff ensure WDFW-managed work complies with cultural resources regulations, agency policy, and meets the cultural resource stewardship responsibilities.  

 

This position supports a statewide program and will facilitate and participate in process improvement projects within the Division.

 

What to Expect:

Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Management Analyst will be responsible for:

 

Business process implementation, analysis, development, and refinement:

  • Serve as the primary business contact for verifying project information upload is correct, the requirements are met, and accuracy is confirmed. 
  • Refine and develop intake processes as requested to support the Division’s goals and objectives. 
  • Work with Region and Program staff to update records management.
  • Manage contracting workflow and assist Division staff in tracking contract documents, facilitate review of invoices and submittal for payment. Distribute reports. 
  • Refine contracting processes as requested to support the Division’s goals and objectives. 
  • Oversee Division processes to ensure conformance with Agency and CAMP standards, making recommendations for improvement where and when needed to the Division Manager.  

 

Personnel management and onboarding:

  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding of new personnel.  
  • Prepare and monitor the progression of hiring documents, schedule and participate in interviews, perform reference checks, explain expectations, provide, assist with completion of payroll, medical, and other key hiring documents.        
  • Organize new hire trainings with CAMP staff, coordinate office space across the state with CAMP and regional staff, issue keys, alarm cards, copy cards, tools, equipment and communication equipment as required. 
  • Provide direct administrative support to the Division Manager; compose, draft, edit correspondence, coordinate travel arrangements with CAMP staff and schedule meetings.

 

Working Conditions: 

Work Setting, including hazards: Work is performed primarily in an office setting. 
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required to meet business needs. A flexible schedule may be considered at the discretion of the supervisor. 
Travel Requirements: 10% statewide travel is required to meet with clients, conduct business, or attend or provide training.
Customer Interactions: Frequent contact (likely daily) with clients and project managers, including some contact with those who may be angry, distraught, or frustrated.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: 
Undergraduate degree in business administration, public administration, law, political science, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in public or private sector business operations, managing projects, analyzing policy, conducting research, analyzing polices laws, rules or regulation and developing requirements. 

 Note: Closely related qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-by-year basis. 

 

Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the required qualifications, our ideal applicant will possess some or all the following:

  • Training or experience demonstrating understanding of project management, leadership, LEAN (or similar management and team building principles)
  • Experience serving as part of process improvement teams. 
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, SharePoint, and Adobe software.
