Aqua Sierra, Inc. is a fisheries and water quality consulting firm located near Conifer, Colorado specializing in aquatic resource and water quality management, lake and pond design, and fisheries enhancement. We are looking for a FULL TIME biologist with a proven natural resource and customer service background located or willing to relocate to the Denver area. The best candidate will have strong problem solving skills and be independent while also enjoying team collaboration. Primary responsibilities will include working with an existing database of clients and making daily phone calls, developing aquatic management plans, writing reports, and providing other necessary services supported by Aqua Sierra, Inc. Some overnight travel with long days will be required. Projects can necessitate strenuous activity in adverse conditions, so the ability to work in various conditions and lift 40 pounds is a requisite. Other daily tasks include, but are not limited to, basic administrative work, field data collection and sampling, equipment maintenance, hauling/stocking of live fish, and assisting with the application of aquatic pesticides.
The most qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries, or related field, and have a strong customer service and sales background. Communication, written and verbal, is a vital component of this position and paramount to the success of the incumbent. Must be personable, enjoy working with people, a reliable self-starter, and can work independently with little to no supervision.
