Salary- $94,373 – $122,683 per year
Duties
- Provides professional guidance and expertise in the areas of environmental and ecological sciences. Interpret environmental policies, guidance, and compliance tools to individuals external to the agency.
- Manage and coordinate the acquisition of professional services for the preparation of environmental impact statements. Manage and coordinate the performance of outside contractors in preparing project-specific environmental impact analysis.
- Convey ideas, findings, and technical information in a clear and logical manner. Present or provide technical or non-technical information or briefings on environmental issues as a speaker at public meetings.
- Prepare technical information with clarity and precision for diverse audiences. Evaluate environment laws, regulations, Executive Orders, directives, or proposed legislation and prepare analytical reports and recommendations for agency action.

Qualifications
For the GS- 13 level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12); or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: Experience in providing for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act process for large telecommunications utilities projects. Experience includes expert level preparation of categorical exclusion environmental reports, environmental assessments, and environmental impact statements. There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-13 level.
