Heartsong Food Justice & Regenerative Land Internship

Heartsong Village Center is an 8-acre home-based property and community space in SE Olympia, focused on wellness, education, and building sustainable, community-based food systems. This internship is a hands-on, highly experiential, and student-driven opportunity to help co-create a small-scale regenerative food system from the ground up.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Soil building, composting, planting, and weeding
  • Irrigation setup and garden maintenance
  • Hands-on infrastructure projects (fencing and system building)
  • Supporting chickens and animal areas
  • Working in an established kitchen garden
  • Native planting and invasive species removal
  • Planting for high groundwater and flooding conditions

What Makes This Internship Different

This is a self-directed, mentored learning experience where you will research, plan, and help design real systems for growing and distributing food—gaining experience building something from the ground up.
