I am thrilled to share an upcoming workshop series with you, Community Envisioned Deschutes Estuary (CEDE). This 7-part workshop series will collaboratively build a shared vision of the community’s role in a restored Deschutes Estuary. The series will be centered around themes expanding beyond the physical design of the restored Deschutes, including sustainable developmenteducationpollution, and stewardship. Local artist Carrie Ziegler will perform graphic note-taking throughout the series, and produce a final rendering of our collectively defined vision for a restored Deschutes Estuary community. The piece will be displayed and shared with the public at Spring Arts Walk 2025. CEDE will integrate the estuary restoration project into the fabric of the Olympia, to enhance shared benefits and interconnectivity with local projects and the spirit of the community.
